Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people have adapted dramatically to accommodate all that has been introduced into Australia since 1788. The carved tree has been etched with concepts of reconciliation. The landscape sits on a timeline from the Dreaming to our industrial world of today. We live in a landscape like the
white tree connecting to our country growing in strength, unity and harmony.
Reconciliation means… When we all connect together instead of putting people down. We form together as friends not enemies.
Many of these resources and activities have been developed in consultation with NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA) to ensure that the program meets NSW curriculum outcomes for Stages 3, 4 & 5.
Reconciliation NSW aims to create a reconciled, just and equitable community for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and other Australians. We work to inform, support and inspire people to engage in reconciliation.
