I have used an object from the land as my artwork to show how Aboriginal people used natural things to make items to help them. I have used this dried plant stem to show that it could be used as a fishing rod, even though the Cadigal and Wangal people, who once lived here, used fishing nets weaved from the local plants. They used to fish in the Hawthorne Canal when it looked a lot different and it was a lot cleaner. I hope my artwork helps people to understand reconciliation by sharing culture and Caring more for Culture.

Reconciliation means …caring about ALL people. Not allowing racism and having all people come together and live respecting everyone’s culture.
