My artwork represents the many marine animals that lived or are still living in the
riverbanks. The riverbanks are a natural source of water, which flowed for First Nations people to drink from. Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples did not take what they didn’t need and left enough that these animals would be able to swim through the water.

Reconciliation means…

Understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and building forgiveness for a new community and world. Acknowledging equality between
all people.
