Kye: My artwork is about the hands of the Aboriginal people that lived on Australian land before the British ‘discovered’ it. It relates to reconciliation by showing the hands of the Traditional Owners of the land. The Aboriginal sky represents that it always was and always will be Aboriginal land.

Damon: My artwork is about all of us coming together. It doesn’t matter where you come from or what colour you are, we are all one. My artwork relates to reconciliation because the two hands are bringing together black and white people on Aboriginal Land. My artwork relates to this year’s theme by the colours of everyone coming together in between the hands.

Reconciliation means…

Everyone coming together on Aboriginal Land.
