The image of Australia becomes a central meeting place in my composition surrounded by traditional Aboriginal symbols and patterns. The hands are symbolic of Australia showing how all of its people can come together to celebrate the oldest culture in the world.
Reconciliation means…
Recognising the past and making changes in the future to ensure everyone is valued and gets along. It makes me feel like my culture is important and valued by non-Indigenous Australians as it forms a very important part of my life.
