My artwork is about the symbolic gesture of white Australia recognising Aboriginal land rights. This picture relates to Our Voices, Our Future because Vincent Lingiari said to his boss at Wave Hill Station that better conditions and pay were not enough and demanded their land back. 8 years later the Prime Minister gave the land back to them.
Reconciliation means… Being friends after a long discussion.
Many of these resources and activities have been developed in consultation with NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA) to ensure that the program meets NSW curriculum outcomes for Stages 3, 4 & 5.
