Bourke Street Public School

Hold the dirt still with my roots

But with one tug. It all falls apart

I am, used for weaving baskets

I am, used for collecting seeds

Those seeds crushed create wheat and that wheat becomes bread

My leaves of the plant soon act like a thread

If you tug me by my heart

The dirt would fall apart

The Gadigal women are lucky to know

a lot about me

and my name is Lomandra.

Reconciliation means …that we can be forgiving and say sorry.
