My artwork represents the sky and the land underneath.  The sky on the right represents the Dreamtime, with the emu in the sky and how Aboriginal people see the stars as stories and pictures. The sky on the left represents the Southern Cross constellation and dots of light scattered around, which are the stars who dance around all night.  I chose to do this artwork because I wanted to show that no matter where we are, we are all under one sky. Even if we are at different places, the sky will always be looking down on us.

Reconciliation means…

To reflect on what happened in the past, learn from it and make sure that it never happens again. Repair the broken relationships between Indigenous and non-Indigenous people, educate our communities and celebrate our beautiful First Nations cultures.
