NAIDOC Week Resources ALWAYS WAS, ALWAYS WILL BE.

NAIDOC and SBS have created a suite of classroom resources

In 2020  NAIDOC Week has been postponed due to COVID-19, and starts on Sunday 8 November and finishes on Sunday 15 November.

This year’s NAIDOC theme is ‘Always Was. Always will Be.’, and the NAIDOC committee has developed resources for teachers  to explore this theme.

We are awaiting additional resources from SBS Learn, which will be added soon.

The resources will be for Primary and Secondary years and link to subjects including:

  • Primary: English, Humanities and Social Sciences, Health and Physical Education
  • Secondary: English, History, Geography, Visual Arts, Drama

The resources hope to engage students and help provide Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives in classrooms in the lead up to and beyond NAIDOC Week 2020.

Many of these resources and activities have been developed in consultation with NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA) to ensure that the program meets NSW curriculum outcomes for Stages 3, 4 & 5.
