  1. What food was once available when fishing the Barwon-Darling River? 

(Crayfish, shrimp and mussels)

2. In what ways has the river and its people been negatively impacted by non-Indigenous settlement? 

(Native fish are very rare, river levels are down, introduced species of fish (carp) have created muddy waters as they dig into the river bed in search of food ,building the weir has impacted the water flow to the traditional fish traps, industry is taking too much water out of the river at one time, local Aboriginal people have had their ways of life impacted as they are unable to fish and undertake leisure activities as they once did)
